Why does BDNF and neuroinflammation matter with concussion recovery?
The brain's healing process after a concussion involves two important factors: BDNF and neuroinflammation.
BDNF is a helpful protein that protects brain cells and helps them grow and connect. More BDNF means faster healing. On the other hand, neuroinflammation is the brain's way of cleaning up damage, but too much of it can cause problems.
The key to a good recovery is having enough BDNF while keeping neuroinflammation under control. Exercise increases BDNF and decreases neuroinflammation, and helps people recover better from concussions.
It is important that low-impact exercise that doesn't move the head is used, at just the right amount, so it doesn't cause setbacks in the recovery process.

Then we welcome you in for your Brain Fitness Orientation, giving you a chance to learn more about your brain health, and see if Mindeo is for you.
If it makes sense, we will recommend a program that suits your needs, and work on your personal brain fitness roadmap that takes into account your general levels of fitness, your current limitations, and direction from your medical team.

Frequently asked questions
While many symptoms are most noticeable immediately after an injury or accident, many people experience lingering and long term issues. This program is a good choice if you can relate to this, as it ensures you get the benefits of SynapFit sessions, in a carefully programmed 12 week period.
NeuroRecover has been carefully engineered to provide benefits without the downside of typical exercise. It can be started soon after the acute phase of a concussion event, usually approximately 3-4 days (with medical approval).
You'll be lightly moving during your SynapFit™️ sessions. We recommend you wear comfortable clothing that's easy to move in, and you don't need special or athletic footwear. Pants and longsleeves are fine, but we would recommend not wearing tight fitting clothing like jeans or button up shirts, for example.
SynapFit™️ sessions combine bioaccelerating technology and movement to improve brain fitness. The sessions are tailored to your mobility and health. You are in a seated position during this time. The experience is personalized, and private, with your Brain Fitness Coach guiding you through the session. However, it is not a workout, or personal training – the goal is not to get worn out, or to push yourself hard. Mindeo's bioaccelerating equipment does the hard work for you.
